Education: Andrea began her nursing career as a Certified Nursing Assistant through Iowa Western. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Methodist College in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating with honors. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska. Most recently, she obtained a post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, also graduating with honors.
Licensure/Certifications: Currently has dual certification as a family nurse practitioner and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
Professional Experience/Accomplishments: Andrea’s nurse practitioner journey began in 2015 as a Family Nurse Practitioner in plastics and reconstructive surgery, where she gained five years of experience. During this time, she also trained as an aesthetic injector and has continued this work part-time for the past ten years. In 2016, she expanded her practice into urgent care, initially part-time before transitioning to full-time during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, Andrea earned her Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree and, in 2023, began serving patients in residential treatment at the VA.
Hobbies/Interests: Andrea enjoys spending her time planting and spending time with pets (preferably dogs!).
