Therapy Services

Family Connections offers outpatient therapy services for individuals, families, and couples, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for clients of all ages. Services are available with licensed and supervised clinicians, and Family Connections accepts most major insurance plans, including both private and state-funded insurance options, to help ensure access to care for those seeking support.

Group Therapy

Family Connections provides a variety of therapy groups focused on skill-building, emotional regulation, and peer support. Group offerings vary by location, and availability may change based on community needs. Behavior Health

Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS)

Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) is an Iowa state-funded program designed to support children and adolescents in building coping skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviors. Services are flexible and may be provided in a variety of settings based on individual needs, including the home, community, or office. BHIS focuses on practical, skill-based interventions to improve daily functioning and is delivered in collaboration with families and other supports to promote consistency across environments.

Medication Management

Medication management services at Family Connections are provided by qualified psychiatric providers and focus on evaluating, prescribing, and monitoring medications to support mental health needs. Providers work collaboratively with clients to assess symptoms, review effectiveness, and make adjustments as needed to support overall well-being. Medication management services are available to children, adolescents, and adults, and most major private and state-funded insurance plans are accepted.
